The cards were originally invented by Marie-Anne Adelaide Lenormand, a genius fortune teller from the 18th and 19th centuries. They quickly spread among the French aristocracy of the time, and are said to have predicted with frightening accuracy the fates of many famous powerful figures of the time, including the rise and fall of Emperor Napoleon.
The card size is 88 x 54 mm, which fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and makes it very easy to handle.
It contains 36 cards and comes in a hard case, making it easy to carry around.
