Cary-Yale Visconti 15th Century Tarocchi Deck

A reproduction of the oldest surviving tarot cards

The Carly-Yale Visconti Tarot is one of the oldest surviving tarot decks.

It has been faithfully reproduced as a reproduction.

There are 22 major arcana and 64 minor arcana, for a total of 86 cards.

The Minor Arcana court cards consist of six cards in total: the usual "THE KING," "THE QUEEN," "THE KNIGHT," and "THE PAGE," plus "THE FEMALE KNIGHT" and "THE FEMALE PAGE."

The three Major Arcana cards "FAITH," "HOPE," and "CHARITY" correspond to the current "HIEROPHANT," "THE STAR," and "THE POPESS/THE PRIESTESS," respectively.

The cards do not have serial numbers or names, but the accompanying English instruction manual has photos of the cards and their names written on them, so you can easily identify which card each is.

Tarot cards are known as the "Rider version," "Waite version," and "Waite-Smith version" and are widely loved all over the world.

The first edition was published in 1909.
It was commissioned by Pamela Colman Smith to be painted by Arthur Edward Waite, a member of the Golden Dawn, a magical society founded in England in the 19th century.

The name comes from the last names of the two authors mentioned above, and also because the first edition was published by Rider Publishing.

These tarot cards feature standard, symbolic images that are easy to use for anyone, from beginners to professionals.
