Jane Austen Tarot

Jane Austen, a master of British literature known for works such as "Pride and Prejudice" and "Emma," will celebrate her 250th birthday on December 16, 2025. To commemorate this, the long-established Italian tarot manufacturer Lo Scarabeo has released a special set of tarot cards dedicated to Austen's worldview.

At first glance, Austen's realistic portrayals of society and love and the mystical world of tarot cards may seem unrelated, but they both contain an essential and powerful message: the importance of balance in life.

Just as Austen's novels sharply depict the balance between passion and reason, social status and personal happiness, the Tarot, through its Major Arcana (spiritual pursuits) and Minor Arcana (everyday events), teaches us the importance of balance.

This tarot will bring new insights and inspiration to Jane Austen fans, all tarot enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to find their own balance in their daily lives.

The set consists of 78 cards, 22 of which are called the Major Arcana and 56 of which are called the Minor Arcana. The names of the Minor Arcana cards have been changed to Sword = Quills, Wands = Candles, and Pentacles = Coins.

The back of the cards indicate whether they are upright or reversed. The case comes in a hard cover box.
