The Mythos Tarot is a spiritual tarot card that beautifully combines the symbolism of traditional tarot with the stories of gods and heroes from Greek mythology.
Just as the footprints of the ancient Olympian gods remain in the world today, these cards reflect their energy in the modern spirit. Through the archetypes that the gods harbor, the meanings of the cards are given depth and narrative, expanding the scope of the reading.
Each tarot card corresponds to a god or hero from Greek mythology, making the card not just a symbol but a "window to the story."
For example, Wands tell the story of Jason's adventure with the Golden Fleece, Cups tell the story of Eros and Psyche, and Swords tell the story of the Melos family and the curse of Orestes, all of which are told through the cards.
The set consists of 78 cards, 22 called the Major Arcana and 56 called the Minor Arcana. The edges of the cards are gold-plated.
The back of the card is indistinguishable between upright and reversed. The case comes in a cover-type hard box.
