Fusion of Japanese art and tarot

Ukiyoe Tarot is a beautifully illustrated tarot deck that skillfully depicts traditional tarot symbols and ukiyo-e art.
Tarot expert Stuart Kaplan and Japanese artist Koji Furuta combine Japanese ukiyo-e prints with the traditional 78 tarot cards.
The result is a strikingly contemporary image that captures the delicate yet powerful ukiyo-e style.

The Major Arcana depicts familiar archetypes such as the Magician as a Kabuki actor and the Pope as a priest.
The Minor Arcana features ancient Japanese symbols such as the traditional sword, the ceremonial staff, the lacquered cup, and Edo-period coins.

The set consists of 78 cards, 22 called the Major Arcana and 56 called the Minor Arcana. The cards are in the Marseille style, with number 8 = Justice and number 11 = Power.
The back of the card is indistinguishable between upright and reversed positions. The case is a caramel box type.
