The Goddess Tarot refreshes tarot symbolism using the stories and imagery of the Goddess, and its meticulously crafted illustrations breathe new life into the tarot.

The Major Arcana cards tell the story of a different Goddess, and each suit of the Minor Arcana corresponds to an element of Earth, Water, Air, or Fire and a specific Goddess.
The suit of cups is associated with Venus, the Roman goddess of love; the suit of swords with Isis, the Egyptian goddess of magic and salvation; the suit of pentacles with Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of prosperity; and the suit of stars with Freyja, the Norse goddess of creation.

The artwork has a great sense of texture, even the sandy brown borders have a textured feel to them.

The set consists of 78 cards, 22 called the Major Arcana and 56 called the Minor Arcana. The cards are in the Marseille style, with number 8 = Justice and number 11 = Power.
The back of the card is indistinguishable between upright and reversed positions. The case is a caramel box type.
