A card of an onmyoji who exorcised vengeful spirits and tore through darkness during the Heian period.
Onmyoji was originally an official position in charge of fortune telling. It is said that later he became active in a wide range of areas, including among the general public, offering prayers and fortune-telling services.
These 36 oracle cards are based on the theory of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements used by the onmyoji, and also incorporate the essence of Eastern divination. Each Onmyoji card has a Yin attribute and a Yang attribute, and every card has a Yin and Yang message. It is in the [upright] and [reversed] position. The upright position is Yang, and the reversed position is Yin. This is neither good nor bad, nor is it auspicious or bad luck.
The upright position indicates good things, while the reversed position indicates trials. Just because things are going well doesn't mean they're good, but it's through trials that people grow. On each card, you'll find an incident or event that will occur and how to overcome it.
